Wild About Harry -- Guest Review by Doctor Terror

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child (Palace Theatre)
When I saw this astonishing West End spectacle, the part of the adult Draco Malfoy was played by the guy who plays Sid the chauffeur in Father Brown. The Americans, competitive as ever, have decided to top this so, in the Broadway version, the part of the adult Draco Malfoy is played by the guy who plays Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter films. Bloody Yanks!.
Ordinarily, I would take this opportunity to praise Jack Thorne's marvellous script, the extravagant special effects, the flawless acting performances and so on, but, like The Mousetrap, this play carries with it a solemn contract between performers and audience. 'Keep the secrets' it says.
So I will.
