Jennifer Clulow Born 30 March 1942, in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. Her father, Methodist minister Arnold Harrison Clulow, was Chaplain to the Mayor of Grimsby during the war, leaving in June 1945 to take on a new position in Scarborough and later becoming minister of the Holy Trinity church in Woking. So, although born in Grimsby, it is fair to say Jennifer did not feel its influence for long.

In 1964, aged 22, she appeared with the Royal Shakespeare Company in The Comedy of Errors, The Jew of Malta and Victor - or The Children Take Over (in which she played five year old Esther Magneau, opposite Michael Bryant as nine year old Victor). The same year saw her TV debut playing a nurse in an episode of Compact.

In 1965 Jennifer joined Sir Bernard Miles' Mermaid Theatre, appearing in June opposite Patrick Wymark in Left Handed Liberty and a month later opposite Timothy West and James Bolam in the musical Four Thousand Brass Pennies as "an enchanting Alcmena", wearing "a costume so revealing that it would entice any God down to Earth." In October 1965 she joined the Leatherhead Repertory Theatre, appearing in a new adaptation of Tom Jones

In the following year, Jennifer Clulow began a steady series of TV appearances; The Baron episode 'The Persuaders', No Hiding Place, Blackmail ('Do Not Disturb'), and six episodes of Mogul as secretary Miss Clarkson. In 1967 she presented Rediffusion's live action Disney Wonderland series in which she interacted with actors in costume as Goofy and Merlin. In the same year, Jennifer married No Hiding Place actor and writer Michael McStay (Michael sadly passed away in May 2025). 1968 brought a complete change of pace playing the enigmatic Jessica Dalton in the Mr Rose episode, 'The Frozen Swede.'In September 1969 she began a ten month run at the Globe (now Gielgud) Theatre, London in Woody Allen's Play It Again Sam (starring Dudley Moore). She also continued to appear in TV dramas including an episode of 'Pathfinders'(1972) starring Robert Urquhart and Jack Watling.

In the early 1970's Jennifer began presenting Foreign Flavour, a Saturday morning cookery programme and later became a continuity announcer and newsreader for Westward and TVSouth.

For several years in the 1970's Jennifer appeared as the English Rose in the Cointreau adverts being seduced by Frenchman Christian Toma's recitation of the ingredients on the liqueur's label.
